Aastrom Biosciences Issues Correction of Wall Street Journal Article
Ann Arbor, Michigan, November 11, 2004 -- Aastrom Biosciences, Inc. (NasdaqSC: ASTM) today issued the following response to an article published in the November 4th, 2004 issue of The Wall Street Journal.
In an article entitled: "Another Winner is Big Business" published in the November 4th issue of The Wall Street Journal, Aastrom Biosciences was described as a biotechnology firm doing embryonic stem-cell research, which it is not accurate.
Aastrom Biosciences is a regenerative medicine company developing therapeutic products for the repair or regeneration of damaged human tissues and other medical disorders, or the generation of normal human tissues, utilizing only stem and progenitor cells derived from adult bone marrow. Aastrom Biosciences does not utilize embryonic stem cells in any of its research and development.
